Thursday evening August 1st saw the second annual NME Bowls Bash Challenge get under way.
With 16 pairs from companies across the estate involved it was a lively, fun and competitive event played in the best of spirits.
After two heats of 4 games the team with the highest score from each heat went through to the final play off of just 5 ends to decide the winning team.
Heat One Winners: Bruce and Dave of the Bookish Buccaneers
Heat Two Winners: Adam and Ellen of d&b Bowlers Team D
The winners of the final, Adam and Ellen of d&b Bowlers Team D, won by 20 points to 15 and were presented with the shield and wine by Jasper Chamberlain, the competition sponsors. The shield is off to be engraved and will be held by d&b Audiotechnik until next summer.
A huge thanks to Chamberlains Estate and to all the estate workers that attended and supported the event. Also to all the loyal NMBC members for marking, helping at the mat and catering for the 50 or so people that attended.
Here's looking forward to 2025 and to see which teams are gunning for their names on that trophy :-)
