"Proud of our history, focused on our future"
Welcome to Nailsworth Mills Bowls Club, a thriving and modern lawn bowls club situated in the Cotswolds, open to all and offering plenty of ways for people to have a go at lawn bowls. We are also welcoming sponsors so please get in touch if you share our values for friendship, inclusiveness and fun.
NMBC 2024 New Shirts
Check out our club nights every Friday from April to September and our special Open Days on weekends throughout the season. Post season we hold regular social get-togethers, bingo and fundraising so look out for the events leaflets around town and on our social media.
Located on the Avening Road Estate, NMBC celebrated its centenary in 2024, with a weekend of bowls in May especially arranged to celebrate the occasion. On Sunday 5th May we welcomed Gloucester City Bowling Club - the first team we played on our new green back in 1924!
Members have full access to the green plus the club offers mixed friendly games as well as competitive league matches for all ages, gender, race, religion or disability and is keen to welcome new members for just £60 for the whole season.
Fancy having a go - young or old? Come to our Friday Club Nights or Open Days. There are plenty of spare bowls to try it out and club members on hand to show you the ropes. The bar opens regularly, with prices on alcohol, soft drinks and snacks you'll love. There's even an honesty fridge for our members for when they are playing on the green when the bar is closed!
Check out the new club shirts, sported here by the NMBC members that play at Cotswold Indoor Rink in the winter months. Everyone should now have their shirts. If you are a new member talk to one of the management team and they will explain how to purchase one.
Lawn Bowls can be played by all ages and truly is a family sport, so whatever your age, if you would like to try your hand at bowls why not visit the club on Friday evenings at 6.30 - 9.00 during the season, when coaching will be available.
The 2026 season club opening date is Friday 17th April and closes on Monday 14th September and visitors are welcome throughout the season. There is a pre-season game at Begbrook Green in Bristol on Sunday 12th April. The last Club Night will be Friday 11th September.
