Nailsworth Mills BC Rink Diary Link

Welcome all,

The 2025 bowls season will soon be upon us, so it is time for you all new members to register on the NMBC Rink Diary. Training available.

Training Days Update at the Clubhouse:
If there is demand, a session will be set up early season 2025. Date to be announced.

If you are not already a member please click on the registration page link heading above and be sure to add that page to your ‘favourites’ in your browser. You will be using it quite a lot. Here is the full link address: www.nailsworth.rinkdiary.co.uk

Captains and match organisers have administrative access to be able to organise your matches, team selections, player invites etc. If that includes you please jump on and get used to the basics and we will be in touch with the relevant people regarding the admin functions of the TEAMS Section.

Once registered and approved you will receive an email confirmation (you may have to wait until an admin logs on to approve your request so please be patient).

You should soon be able to find your way around, reserve rinks, confirm bookings, cancel bookings etc. Just have fun and play with it. Please just use the months of February and March for your testing and delete everything once you are happy with the process.

Each time you enter anything new or make a change you will receive an email confirmation. Once the season starts you will be able to forward any email booking confirmations to the other players.

How to communicate with other members:
Perhaps the most important thing to understand is that you cannot email other members or even see a list of members from within Ring Diary. It does not work like that, so is protective of your rights under GDPR. If you make a booking on behalf of a group of people you will need to contact them by other means (phone or email) to invite them to log onto Rink Diary and confirm they intend to play.

If you need assistance try this Tutorial on YouTube

I will be happy to help if anyone has any problems. Just use the Contact form to the right of the top menu bar to message me.

Fixtures Data

In the main menu you will see a heading called Teams. We are beginning to populate this section with the following:

Club Friendly Fixtures
Mens League Fixtures
Ladies League Fixtures (Stroud and Corinium)
Thursday Afternoon Triples League Fixtures
Friday Night Club Triples League (Rink 6)

Once this is completed we will send out instructions on how this section of the Rink Diary will work. In addition we will also have a training and overview session at the clubhouse at the end of March/early April (date to be confirmed).

Buddying System

We operate a buddying system for those members who do not have an email address. If you know anyone in that position or would like to act as a buddy, please let me know. Perhaps you have already made arrangements to buddy someone?

*****************************************

We are excited to gain all of the benefits online booking will bring us and we hope you will find it easier and more flexible that the clubhouse manual system.

Example benefits:

* Ability to check online that a rink is available before travelling to the club
* Being able to view who is playing a match and when
* Being able to cancel a rink booking online
* Automatic reminders about your rink booking and matches
* Checking if a game is on or postponed
* Asking for or offering lifts to away matches
……..and many more.

See you all soon,
