A HUGE thank you to everyone last night that dug in to make the 3rd Great NME Bowls Bash Challenge Shield a success.

I could see that many of the competitors and guests had a great evening and I had plenty of comments to that effect. The companies that entered included:
Amos Joiners, Cotswold Green, Ebley Coaches Read for Good, Restoraction, Vinotopia and of course not forgetting Jasper & Tom from EA Chamberlain.

It is always a bit hit and miss at the beginning to sort everything out for the start of the 1st heat so thanks for your patience.

16 teams entered, with two players in each team. Some companies entered multiple teams so we ran two heats. It was great to see some youngsters involved (with dad) and winning their game.

The shield will be engraved with the winner’s details and we hope Jasper will be available to present it to the Cotswold Kings during a Friday Club Night during August.

Thomas Taylor Scotch Wooden Bowls Set: Complete with original box and individual marked wrappers

Here's your chance to acquire a genuine vintage set of wooden bowls, gratefully donated to the club by Tom Beardsell.

Boxed up and on display in the clubhouse, the closing date to add your bid is Sunday 15th June.

Est. in 1900, NMBC’s buildings and grounds on the estate play host to 1,000s of people every year, but there are considerable overheads. We wish to ensure equality and diversity by developing a culture that enables involvement for everyone. Further investment is needed in this and other areas.
Growth in membership and fees is one way in which we fund the club, but help from local businesses, grants, formal sponsorship and charitable donations are always needed no matter how small. In return we can provide the following, dependent on investment level:

Gain visibility for your business: not only at the grounds, but also through our active comms:- literature, website, online rink diary and social media.

Bowls Bash/Corporate Event: a private booking for your staff to enjoy a quick and easy version of bowls with entertainment, bar and refreshments at the clubhouse plus your company visibility as mentioned above.
We have lots of ideas on how you can support us and in return we can present relevant ways in which your business can be showcased by us. Here are just a few examples of how you can help:

• Scorecards (£70), scoreboards (£130 each), rink markers (£30/pair), trophies, training aids, club shirts (£35) and green keeping equipment, sets of bowls, etc. can all be purchased and marked with your branding and company details.
• Club competitions, open days, bowls bash events and the annual NM Estate competitions can all be sponsored and advertised with your branding.
• Each of our six rinks can be sponsored with large advertising posters and membership benefits for you and your staff.

2 groups of 12 teams playing 5 games of 8 ends or 35 mins
Games and groups decided by random draw
2 points a win, 1 point a draw, 
Group winners play final – 10 ends or 50 mins (in event of a tie, ends won will determine positions)
Group runners up play off for 3rd & 4th places

Introducing the Foundation Pairs
Bowls England are excited to introduce a new competitive event for 2025. The Men's and Women's Foundation Pairs are designed for bowlers who may be new to competitions, want to develop their skills and introduce themselves to competitive bowls. 

The Foundation Pairs offers a unique opportunity to compete against others of similar experience, enjoy the thrill of a national event and aim for the biggest stage in bowls.
